Perfume, colour and birds

Scented plants in the garden are a treat on still days, our Hamamelis mollis is beginning to flower and under planted with Iris reticulata ‘Danfordiae’, a lovely golden yellow with a gentle perfume.  Not always a reliable Iris so we always plant new bulbs every year.

We particularly like Bun Moss for carpeting containers both inside and out.  It looks great with clipped Buxus covering the soil in place of plants.
A recent purchase, these metal spheres on spikes are attractive in the garden all year round, mixed with herbaceous plants and shrubs.  Available in the shop, we are taking orders too.  Please ask for more details.
Our south facing front garden bathed in sunlight is looking very good for this time of year, the Melianthus major has lovely texture mixed with the Miscanthus ‘Morning Light’ and the evergreen Hebe, Cistus and Erysimum ‘Bowles’s Mauve’.
Three little birds landed in the shop today looking for a new home.

Shop display: ‘Josephine’ bust, galvanised, st eval candles, marble bowls and carry tray.

A selection of planted containers filled with Muscari, Hyacinths and scented Narcissi.  We also offer a re-fill service for bulbs and plants for Spring.  Please ask for more details.
